The Worthy Village scholarship fund is a dedicated program that helps Guatemalan children continue their schooling past primary school (6th grade) — something that’s often out of reach for many families due to cost barriers. In Guatemala, public education is free only up through 6th grade, and after that families must pay tuition, books, uniforms, and transportation costs for middle and high school. For many households, especially in rural and low-income communities, that’s simply not affordable.
The scholarship fund fills that gap by providing financial support so students can stay in school, graduate, and open doors to future opportunities in education and employment.
How donations help kids continue their education
Every contribution — big or small — directly supports a child’s ability to stay in school:
