Amanda Lanigan, Board Member of Worthy Village and full time high school history teacher shined some light on WV’s methods and processes through her policy paper titled, “Empowering Local Actors to Build Disaster Resilience.”

We are proud to announce that the paper was published in the United Nations special edition of “Youth Science-Policy Interface” and will be discussed today at the UN Conference for Disaster Resiliency in Mexico.

A special shout out to Amanda for documenting our work in this paper, thank you, and congratulations on a job well done! Thank you to the WV staff and BOD for ensuring sustainability in all of our programs and initiatives, and to our donors and supporters for allowing all of this to be possible.
